My name is Leo...
For the past five years, photography has become more than a craft, it’s become a way of life. Before that, I spent 13 years working in the restaurant industry in France. I learned about teamwork, fast pace and attention to detail.
But one day, I felt it was time for a change. To step outside the box. I sold my shares, packed my bags, grabbed my camera, and hit the road, chasing something different, something real. While traveling, watching the world from the road, the ocean and the faces. Veil of Waves began to take shape.
This project is a mix of sensations, doubts, light, silence. It’s me, learning, searching, experimenting, often without a safety net. I didn’t go to art school. Everything I know, I’ve learned in the field. Shooting again and again...Failing, trying again. Spending two hours in the water in the middle of winter and yes, even in Australia, it gets damn cold without a wetsuit just to capture a wave, a reflection, a raw moment.
Something authentic, sometimes strange, sometimes soft, sometimes bold.
I put everything into what I do... Emotionally, artistically, financially. It’s not always easy, but it’s always honest. I’m not living off my art yet, but that’s the goal. A dream I’m building one step at a time, with persistence, humility, and passion.
And if you’re reading this and you feel that spark too ? If photography moves something in you ? Then keep going. Explore, Feel, Look deeply. Keep trying. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing your work touched someone. That someone felt something through your eyes.
Veil of Waves is a vision, a point of view, a slower way of seeing.
